The New Year brought some new schooling with Madix. The boy who had no interest in any writing is actually practicing writing. Of course he wants me to help him hold his pencil, but I'll take it. Also, he loves to cut with scissors. It's his favorite "subject" so far. Usually cutting consists of this:
Cutting & "blowing pieces of paper up" (with sound effects) till it is no longer anything other than a mess. But, to me, the whole point of practicing cutting is to cut. All of this unstructured cutting finally bloomed into structured cutting.
It's definately the little accomplishments that make this homeschooling all worth it!
We are working on recognizing our name. We do this with the magnets that Aunt Nugh gave him for christmas. He likes to add the other 2 M's.
